Sarah MacQueen
Sarah is a qualifed personal trainer with an international certifcation in Strength and Conditioning. She specialises in strength training and Powerlifting. She believes that physical strength generates incredible mental strength and they are closely connected.
After years of over-training, disordered eating and body image issues followed by post-natal depression, she turned to strength training.
By focusing on the number on the barbell rather than the number on the scale, she refocused on fuelling her body and training for performance/strength-based goals instead of punishing her body for not conforming to unrealistic societal standards. Within this, she found amental strength and belief in herself like never before.
This was a catalyst for her to leave a toxic relationship, quit her 9-5, open a business, be the best mother she can for her son and to be competitive in the sport she loves.
Her mission is to help others do the same; to build not only a strong, capable and confdent body but also mind. Once a person has both they become unstoppable and this is her goal for every person she coaches.
